The Linguistic Linked Open Data cloud diagram
News flash: Consider submitting new LLOD data sets at the LDL-2014 Data Challenge, held as part of the 3rd Workshop on Linked Data in Linguistics (LDL-2014) (May 27, 2014, Reykjavik, Iceland), collocated with the 9th Language Resource and Evaluation Conference (LREC-2014).
This web page is the home of the Linguistic Linked Open Data cloud diagram. The image shows linguistic resources (lexical-semantic resources, corpora, metadata repositories and linguistic data bases) that have been published in Linked Data format, or that will be published as such by members of the Open Linguistics Working Group as well as other individuals and organisations. For detailed information and the current publication status of the resources, see the corresponding Wiki page. (Clicking on the image will open the original SVG file, for svg, pdf and png versions of the current diagram and its earlier versions see below. The script to generate the cloud is located on github.) Background The Linguistic Linked Open Data cloud is one of the projects pursued by members of the OWLG aiming to develop a Linked Open Data (sub-)cloud of linguistic resources. The diagram is inspired by the Linking Open Data cloud diagram by Richard Cyganiak and Anja Jentzsch, and the resources included are chosen according to the same criteria of openness, availability and interlinking. Although not all resources are already available, we actively work towards this goal, and subsequent versions of this diagram will be restricted to openly available resources. Until that point, please refer to the diagram explicitly as a “draft”. Availability The diagram is maintained by the OWLG. For any questions and comments, please email directly to the mailing list (firstname.lastname@example.org). Note that these messages will be archived and published. Confidential remarks or request can also be made to the list administrators under email@example.com.
